July 2007 - We would like to congratulate Mr. Eddie Ruiz on his recent promotion to the rank of shodan. Mr. Ruiz
is one of the founding members of Kobudo Atlanta, and was responsible for a lot of the interior design and work
done on our dojo. Several years ago Mr. Ruiz moved back to his native Puerto Rico to care for his aging mother,
but he manages to find time to train there on his own, and to return to Atlanta for additional training. We have
asked Mr. Ruiz to start a training group there on the island to begin making these teachings accessible to people
in his home country. More information will be posted as this project progresses.
February 12, 2007 - Congratulations to Jeremiah and Kristine Marchant on the birth of their daughter, Campbell
Elizabeth. Campbell was born this morning around 11:30 AM. Both the baby and the parents are doing well.
Kristine is one of the founding members of our dojo and formerly an instructor in our school. Our dojo family has
increased by one, and this little girl has the most interesting set of uncles any child could want :o)
October 2006 - Students may now pay their tuition by credit card online through Pay Pal. If you choose to pay your
tuition in this way, please discuss it in advance with one of the instructors as Pay Pal fees will be added to your
tuition payment.
September 2006 - Once again we were pleased to participate in the annual JapanFest sponsored by the Japanese

August 2006 - Our new rank curriculum is now complete. Please see one of the instructors for a copy. You will only
have access to the curriculum for the rank level you are currently working on and those below. In the instance
where material has been added to a particular rank, please review this material as it is fair game on all future
examinations.
July 2006 - We would like to congratulate Mr. Tyler Fridley for his recent promotion to the rank of sandan. Mr.
Fridley has also been entrusted with a full instructor's license in our dojo and will be taking on more teaching
responsibilities in the future.

July 2005 - Congratulations to Kristine Marchant on her recent marriage to her husband Jeremiah. Senior dojo
members were present at the beach wedding, which was held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
