Please Read These Instructions Carefully!
Kobudo Atlanta offers instruction in the classical martial arts of Japan to sincere, stable people of good character.
Our dojo  is NOT a commercial school. We do not teach for a living, and we are under no obligation to accept
anyone as a student.

All prospective students must complete an online application. Incomplete applications will be discarded. We will
review your application  thoroughly. Please give us up to one month to review your application and contact you.
We will only contact you by e-mail, so please include a valid e-mail address. Our instructors will not call anyone on
the telephone to discuss training.

Please do not take it upon yourself to just show up for a visit. You will probably be asked to leave. This is to
ensure that no one interrupts our training routine. We have an obligation to the current students to provide
continuous, uninterrupted instruction, so outside distractions are kept to a minimum. Our first obligation is always
current dojo members, their safety and best interests.

If we feel that you are a good candidate for membership in our dojo, you will be invited to visit with us, which will
be done during normal class times. During the visit, the prospective student may observe class, and speak with
the instructors and some of the students.  We will also interview you at that time. We will not meet with anyone
outside of our normal class times.

If you are unable to visit during normal class times, you will not be able to attend classes as a student.

If after visiting you are still interested in training, please let us know at the time of your visit or shortly thereafter.
The final determination of the acceptance of anyone is based solely upon the decision of the instructors of Kobudo
Atlanta, and their decision is final.  Our determination is based upon your application and interview only. We do
not discriminate based upon race, sex, religion, nationality, sexual orientation or social standing.

There are no exceptions to our enrollment policy. This process may be abbreviated however for those who are
referred to our group by instructors or students we know.

Please note: Kobudo Atlanta does not offer children's classes. People  under 16 years of age need not apply. Any
applicant under 18 years of age may be excluded from training based upon the student's physical and emotional
maturity, as determined by the head instructor. In all cases where the student is under the age of 18, the
application must be reviewed by the applicant's parents or legal guardians, and the parent's/guardian's name and
e-mail address must be provided so we may contact them. All underage applicants must be accompanied by a
parent or guardian when they visit and when they come for an interview.

Please do not apply unless you are interested in beginning your training within one month of your application.
Otherwise, please wait until your schedule permits you to commit to training to apply.
