Kobudo Atlanta offers a climate-controlled, 2,500 square-foot training facility, with 1,400 square feet of
permanent mat space. It is one of the only schools in the Metro Atlanta area that offers training in classical
Japanese warrior arts. When you begin training with us, you become a part of a lineage that spans hundreds of
years of history. No other group in Atlanta offers more training time per week in these methods.
Please understand that enrollment in our school is not a guarantee of rank. We are not selling rank programs.
Enrollment in our school is like enrollment in college. The student is responsible for attending class and for
learning all required material, and there is no guarantee that a student will pass a given examination. All
determinations of rank will be made solely by the instructional staff and all rank will be issued by our dojo only.
General Enrollment
Our current tuition is a flat $150.00 per month. We ask all new students to sign an enrollment agreement which
serves as a personal injury waiver, as well as a guarantee of timely payment of tuition. Students are responsible
for paying their tuition on time whether they attend classes or not.
For students who wish to pay their tuition in full in advance, a discounted rate is offered. Please discuss this with
one of the instructors.
For students who live out of the area, or for visitors from other schools who may be in our area temporarily,
classes are offered for the fee of $25 per class. Please note that we do not have an open mat policy. So please
contact us in advance to discuss this arrangement.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are available on a case-by-case basis both to students enrolled in our school as well as those who
are not enrolled in our regular training program. For students enrolled in regular training at our school, the fee for
private lessons is $100.00 per hour. For students not enrolled at Kobudo Atlanta the fee for private lessons is
$150.00 per hour.
Persons not enrolled at Kobudo Atlanta who are interested in private lessons should submit a training application
and note in the application their interest for private lessons.
Certain topics may require a semi-private lesson. Please contact us for more information.
Combination Enrollment
For students who wish to attend regular classes, but who also wish to have private instruction, we offer a
combination enrollment. This gives the student access to all regular classes, plus allows them to schedule a
one-hour private lesson once per month with our head instructor. The private lesson will be scheduled at a time
convenient for both the teacher and student. The fee for the combination enrollment is $200 per month. Additional
private lessons may be added for an additional $50 per hour.
